PRAIRIE DOGS
If you have indications of Prairie Dogs on your property, Goshen County Weed and Pest provide excellent details regarding this animal and an eradication program to eliminate Prairie Dogs from properties in the county. Prairie Dogs are designated as a Pest by the State of Wyoming. The website, provided below, has excellent and detailed information in this regard. Importantly, a cost-sharing program is available to cover up to 80% of the cost of materials and the application. This is a ‘first-come, first serve’ program so quick response is important and application may close in August. Bob at Weed and Pest is an excellent resource and can be reached at 307-532-3713. The required agreement for the cost-sharing program can be found on the website under Programs and Services; this can be submitted electronically. Application of materials would be done in the fall, timed with fall moisture and optimal results.
